It is not clear which particular window our agency got hurled through, but it seems much of our life is run by algorithms these days, and I’m not quite sure about it all.
The perfect devotion/inspiration as I rise to embark on my journey to Scotland’s north coast in a bit of counter-Christmas programming. Open to whatever the next three days bring.
Wonderful writing Richard, and you capture the trials and tribulations so well. Nearly every Sunday I have taken the bike up the Downs and down into Steyning where I have sat with my double espresso and read your blog - usually with a smile on my face. It has confirmed my love for the game and the importance of friendships. I particularly appreciate your support for gokf' traditions, though this doesn't extend to the persimmon, which still resides in my shed - I'm loving my new Titleist (must be the honeymoon!). Enjoy your Christmas break but please keep writing.
Nick, I loved reading this comment. Cycling and coffee are probably another writing destination at some point, when the duffs and the thins get too much! But not yet...HNY. 2025: the year of the persimmon...
Your writing is just sublime and this piece strikes the chord on all we should be grateful for on a Christmas morning.

I love this phrase, Dan. "Programming"...expect to see that resurface somewhere or other! Happy travels!

Well said🎄👏
I love all your posts Richard. I wish I lived in the UK so I would have a shorter drive to the courses you experience.
Thank you!!!
