Some more Scottish ones to add to the “bigger bucket list” 😉 Abernethy GC, near Nethybridge & Grantown on Spey is a lovely 9 hole course as is Portmahomack close to Tain and Gairloch on the west coast and of course Covesea just out of Lossiemouth.
Interesting….and will one day be a new course for me too. Surprising perhaps as I grew up nearby, in Newmarket and then Sudbury, with my introduction to golf (aged 6) at another, less remarkable, 9 holer (now 18) at Newton Green, alongside the A134. Indeed, the medal tee on the 9th used to be across that main road…unthinkable today! A bit later I caddied for my father in matches at several of the courses in the region, but I’ve no recollection at all of Flempton.
Another good piece but you need to play some nine hole courses in Scotland which you will enjoy
The Wee Course at Rosemount and St Medans are a good start
Wonderful, thank you Robin. I need a bigger bucket for this list, I think. But grateful for these two!
I’ll Google Flempton now
John, you’ll love it. Such a nice, gentle vibe. But far from easy!
Sounds lovely! What I like about 9 holes is the chance to see it again with fresh eyes. Hickories forever ⛳️
